Parish News for Candlemas

January 29, 2026 by Oliver Baldwin in Weekly News

This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, also known as Candlemas. In the Gospel reading, we hear how Simeon recognises in Jesus as the ‘a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.’ Let us put our trust in that light and shine as lights in the world.
