Parish News for the 14th Week in Ordinary Time

This Sunday is the 14th in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel reading, Jesus invites all who labour and are heavy laden to come to him. Let us take his yoke upon us and learn from him, and find rest for our souls. Click here to look up the scripture readings.

Music this Sunday
This Sunday the choir will sing the Mass for Four Voices by William Byrd and Gustate et videte by Orlando di Lasso.

Thank you
Fr Oliver would like to thank everyone who supported him at his Ordination and First Mass with special thanks to everyone who helped ‘behind the scenes’ with music and hospitality. Thank you too for all the very kind cards and presents.

PCC Meeting on Sunday
After coffee there will be a short PCC meeting, followed by group safeguarding training which is mandatory for PCC members. Members may elect to complete the training online.

Church Closed
Church will be closed for a recording from Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th July. The 6pm Mass on Tuesday will be as usual, but there will be no Masses on Wednesday and Thursday. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Fr James Annual Leave
Fr James will be on annual leave from Saturday 11th to Sunday 25th July.

Magnificat July edition
The July edition of Magnificat is now available with Mass readings, reflections and prayers. Pick up a copy from Fr James or Fr Oliver for a suggested donation of £5 or pay what you can.

Newcomers’ Drinks
Have you started coming to All Hallows in the last year or so? You are invited to drinks after Mass on Sunday 26th July and Sunday 27th September. Put the dates in your diary now!

Pilgrimage to Walsingham
Our pilgrimage to Walsingham in August is now fully booked. If you would like to go on the waiting list for cancellations, please speak to Fr James or Fr Oliver.
