Parish News for the 15th Week in Ordinary Time

This Sunday is the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the gospel reading we hear the parable of the Good Samaritan. Let us take heed of the Lord’s command to love our neighbour and to ‘Go and do likewise’.

Music on Sunday
This Sunday the choir will sing Mass in F by Charles Wood and Tantum ergo by Maurice Duruflé.

PCC Meeting
A PCC Meeting will be held at midday.

Healing Mass 17th July
On Thursday 17th July there will be a Healing Mass at 12 noon. After Mass we gather for a light lunch and a glass of wine for a suggested donation of £2.50. All welcome!

Feast of Dedication
Next Sunday 20th July, Bishop Jonathan will be with us to celebrate our Feast of Dedication and to Confirm. Offers of finger food and homemade cakes for the party after Mass will be gratefully received. Please be here to welcome our bishop!

Choral Evensong for the Assumption
On Sunday 17th August at 5pm we will mark the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Choral Evensong. Please put the date in your diary and come along for worship with superb music, followed by wine and cake.
