Parish News for the 17th Week in Ordinary Time
This Sunday is the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the gospel reading Jesus teaches his disciples the importance of prayer. Let us commit ourselves to regular prayer, trusting Jesus’ promise that if we knock, the door will be opened to us.

Music on Sunday
This Sunday the choir will sing Missa brevis by Simon Preston and O salutaris hostia by Jehan Alain.
Monthly Requiem Mass
Every last Tuesday of the month at 6pm, Mass will be offered as a Requiem for those in our Chantry Book. The next Requiem Mass will be this coming Tuesday 29th July at 6pm. If you would like to have a departed loved one remembered at the altar, please speak to Fr James.
Choral Evensong for the Assumption
On Sunday 17th August at 5pm we will mark the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Choral Evensong. Please put the date in your diary and come along for worship with superb music, followed by wine and cake.
Midweek Masses
Coming to a quieter Mass in the week is a powerful way of deepening your spiritual connection with God and fellowship with one another. Fr James will be in church at these times for anyone who needs to speak with him.
Magnificat
August editions of Magnificat are available from this Sunday. These helpful books contain daily readings and prayers to support your spiritual life, including the lives of the saints and the readings at Mass. If you are interested, speak to Fr James or Fr Oliver.
Confessions
Fr James is available to hear your confession before any of the weekday masses. Please speak to him for more details.
