Parish News for the 22nd Week in Ordinary Time
This Sunday is the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel reading Jesus teaches us the importance of humility and hospitality. Let us follow his teaching that we may hear the words, ‘Friend, move up higher.’

Music on Sunday
This Sunday the choir will sing the Missa brevis in F by Franz Joseph Haydn and Adoramus te, Christe by Orlando di Lasso.
On the Way to Sunday
Beginning this coming Saturday 6th September after the 10am Mass, we will gather for coffee and a weekly discussion group looking at a reading or theme for the coming Sunday. Please see Fr Oliver for the reading material in advance.
Breakfast Church
From next Sunday 7th September at 9am there will be a 30-minute service for young families with coffee and pastries for the grown-ups.
S. Mary Brookfield Patronal Festival
On Sunday 7th September at 5pm, do go along to S. Mary Brookfield for Solemn Vespers, followed by drinks. A Solemn Mass will be celebrated on Monday 8th September at 7pm, followed by supper. Please support Fr Damien and the people of S. Mary Brookfield.
PCC Meeting
The next PCC meeting will be held on Sunday 14th September at midday.
Confirmation
Bishop Peter Wheatley is coming to celebrate Mass and preach for us on Sunday 19th October, followed by fizz. If you would like to think about being Confirmed at this Mass and receiving Holy Communion for the first time, please speak to Fr James to find out more.

Magnificat books for September are now available. This beautifully produced monthly publication includes daily Mass readings, reflections and prayers. Please pick up a copy for a suggested donation of £5 or pay what you can.
